For residential customers, the most common security equipment is alarm system. Alarm system can be on stand alone, linked to CMS and option for alarm response. Alarm can also be linked to hand phone, PDA and other receivers. Some developers are now providing guarded community for both landed and high rise dwellings. The common perimeter is constructed with concrete wall/chain linked or anti climb calls. Some of the perimeter walls are fitted with CCTV and another layer of anti climb perimeter border sensor, either on stand alone basis or linked to the main guard house or control room. The entry/exit to the gated community is highly regulated and controlled by the main guard house using auto boom gate with proximity reader. Entry and exit though these pointes are recorded on CCTV. The car registration and driver face can be recorded and stored in a DVR for a certain period. Entry to the main door and lift to the service apartment/condominium/apartment can be regulated by access control. These are various types of access control reader ranging form proximity to biometric using finger print, finger vein, iris, facial recognition and others.
